Lot 1172
1795. Sharpness of VG-7 but with several small dents. Valentine 5, Rarity-3. This one was really banged up during circulation, several moderate dents on located on both sides. A coin that should be inspected. Always scarce and in demand by type collectors.

Lot 1173
1850. NGC graded MS-64. Really sharp in strike, and with deep blue toning, this coin appears to be a gem. Perhaps the graders hedged on the color, suspecting it may be artificial, but it may just as reasonably be concluded that the toning is from longtime storage. Check it out and decide for yourself. It's an attractive little coin.

Lot 1174
1856. PCGS graded MS-64. Well struck at the centers, but weak through all the dentils on both sides, which is typical of the issue. Lightly toned on both sides and scarce.

1857. PCGS graded MS-61. Lustrous, but with some hairlines. Both dies show multiple clash marks.

Lot 1176
1863. NGC graded MS-63. Steel-gray toning which some collectors will really prize. Lots of horizontal lines, which are probably mostly from the dies, and the strike suggests that this is not MS but a Proof. If so, it's a nice one.
